Art Association of Montreal : Report of the Council to the Association for the Year Ending December, 1891 (Classic Reprint)
Excerpt from Art Association of Montreal: Report of the Council to the Association for the Year Ending December, 1891 The great discomfort experienced by all who have visited the gallery at night, on account of the heat produced by the gas, made the Council anxious to introduce the electric light as soon as possible. As this has fully passed the experimental stage and has proved quite suitable for pictures, the Council have decided to adopt it and are confident the results will be satisfactory. The classes in connection with the Association continue to progress, and the Council trust before long to be in a position to provide better accommodations for them.
