Our customer reviews

"This book is simply gorgeous. It really is a book for those of us who not only see cooking / food as a necessity, but also from a creative perspective. The book's focus is on family friendly food and she shares with the reader, memories that surround many of the dishes she writes about. These memories are illustrated by personal photographs and there are some drawings made by her children. The book fills me with warmth and a desire to 'create memories' for my own family, with food being the centre piece to which they gather. If food and cooking is more than just putting a meal on the table to you, then you will enjoy this beautifully presented book. the recipes!! I have found them to be simple and easy to follow. I was at first, dubious as to how wonderful some of them would be. The ingredients seemed to few, to simple. Sometimes I wondered if a recipe really required 3 cups of water. But every single time, they worked out. Beautifully. Deliciously! Yes, the recipes are divided into sections by colour. Not your usual way of doing things when it comes to cookbooks, but who cares?? When I bought this book, I sat down and looked at every page from cover to cover and marked with a recipe tag, each dish that appealed and worked my way through the book that way. Apart from that, Ive looked at this book so many times, I pretty much remember most of the dishes and remember where they are. Not that hard. Its much, much more than a cookbook. Its beautiful, inspiring and the recipes are delicious, family orientated and classic."show more
