Apogon nigrofasciatus, commonly called Blackstripe Cardinalfish, is a Cardinalfish from the Indo-Pacific. A yellow-black striped fish. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. It grows to a size of 10cm in length.Cardinalfishes are a family, Apogonidae, of ray-finned fishes. They are found in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans, they are chiefly marine, but some species are found in brackish water. A handful of species are kept in the aquarium and are popular as small, peaceful, and colourful fish.
