About Neil Stewart McLeod

Neil McLeod was born in Oxford in 1947, while his father attended Merton College. He was raised in Kenya in the 1950's, and received schooling from the Holy Ghost Fathers at Saint Mary's in Nairobi. The family returned to England before the flag was brought down and Kenya gained her Independence. Neil went up to Guy's Hospital to study dentistry and came to America as a Fulbright Scholar to continue his studies at the University of Southern California. Doctor McLeod is past winner of the Los Slamgeles Poetry Slam. He writes a blog spot called "A Biting Chance," where much more of his poetry may be read. Dr. McLeod is a performing poet who has recited at Highland Games, consulate dinners and Robert Burns Nights for the last 40 years.
