A publication of the notice for twenty-six days only before the sale will avoid a deed issued pursuant to such sale: Eaton v. I/yman, 33 Wis., B4. The want of a proper affidavit of the publication of the notice of sale is not a defect going, to the validity of the assessment and aflfecting the groundwork of the tax, and is not, therefore, affected by the limitation of sec. 1210h: Morris v. Carmichael, 68 Wis., Compensation for advertising. SECTION 1133. The printer who shall publish the list; and notice of sale of lands for taxes shall receive the following compensation therefor: For each tract or lot of land in such list, twenty five cents for all the insertions; for drawing aflidavit of publication, twenty five cents, and for taking and certifying the same, ten cents, except that when the same is published under contract, as provided in section eleven hundred and thirty one, he shall receive the compensation fixed by such contract and no more. The compensation paid for such publication shall in all cases be apportioned equally upon the several parcels of land advertised; and whenever such list of lands shall also be published in a newspaper published in any other than the English language, in pursuance of an order of the county board, made in accordance with the provisions of section six hundred and seventy five, the compensation paid for such publication shall also be apportioned equally upon the several parcels of land advertised.
