As' executor of the late Dr. Quin I became possessed of a large mass of papers and correspondence, from which, aided by the fact of my having been his pupil and living in his house from 1834 to 1839, I was enabled to compile a history of his early life which it would have been difficult for others to accomplish, most of his old friends of that day having passed away.
