This book illuminates Warhol's personal connection and engagement with themes such as icons, consumer society, politics, religion, and the self, trying to reveal the autobiographical aspect, the artist 'in first person' behind the pictorial plane, the subjectivity behind the machine. The book features about 50 works by Andy Warhol.
