Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Jesus College, Oxford is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. The college was founded in 1571 by Queen Elizabeth I, at the request of a Welsh clergyman, Hugh Price, who was Treasurer of St David's Cathedral in Pembrokeshire. The college still has strong links with Wales, and approximately 15% of students are Welsh.About 100 undergraduates and 60 to 70 postgraduates are admitted to the college each year. Women have been admitted to Jesus College since 1974, when the college was one of the first five men's colleges to become co-educational. Old members of Jesus College are sometimes known as Jesubites.show more
