Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Allanfearn was a railway station located near Culloden, outside Inverness, Highland. Opened by the Inverness and Nairn Railway, then absorbed by the Highland Railway, it became part of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway during the Grouping of 1923. The line then passed on to the Scottish Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948. It was then closed by the British Railways Board. The closed station buildings survive and are now occupied. They are passed by trains on the Aberdeen to Inverness Line.show more
