Description

Since birth, Miles has lived in an underground bunker whilst a war raged on the surface. Now, as silence falls across the land above and feeling increasingly trapped, he leaves the place that kept him safe and staggers towards the nearest trace of human life. After reaching a small settlement, Miles begrudgingly accepts a thankless job in the village kitchens in exchange for a simple house and food, and he meets the range of unique characters that call the town home, from the celebrity-like hunters, to the two petty nameless Mayors. As Miles settles into his new environment, he finds that all is not as it seems. A complex past has left two differing tribes claiming the land, and neither will back down. Miles gets caught up in the carnage, and divisions reach boiling point, tearing the town bloodily apart. And just like the issues which lie within the town, all is not well with Miles either, who is also harbouring his own difficult past... Influenced by the author's growing up in Northern Ireland and the complex ways in which division can manifest, All the World's War tells the story of how difficult problems can spiral catastrophically out of control.show more
