Ever since the outbreak of the Plague, life hasn't been easy, and for seventeen-year-old Alice Carroll, it just got worse. Her sister, Dinah, has contracted the 'un-deadly' Momerath Virus and without a cure, will soon be worse than dead. She'll be momerath.
Alice must leave the safety of the Sector and venture into Momerath Territory to find the antidote - if it exists. Chasing a rumor about a mysterious doctor with the cure, Alice falls down the rabbit hole into Wanderland, where ravenous momerath aren't the only danger lurking.

This was my first retelling, and J.M. Sullivan sold me on them! What a ride this book will take you on. There was never a dull moment. I enjoyed many things about this book, but I especially enjoyed Alice's strength.

Above all, this is an adventurous retelling, and I was here for it. There were many things to love, including many thinly veiled references to the original Lewis Carroll story (which I thoroughly enjoyed finding), the hint of future love interests, action, fight scenes, and witty dialogue.
Even for those who are not familiar with the classic story, this story is a run-away train with non-stop action, colorful characters and all the tension a reader could ask for. J.M. Sullivan is an author to watch for.
