Albert's new pet, Rocky the raccoon, can't resist interfering with anything mechanical. He turns the toaster into a spaghetti machine, and the washing-machine into a scrambled-egg maker. Karen Wallace was born in Canada and grew up in the backwoods of Quebec, but moved to the UK when she was 11 years old.
