Description

After Work the Pictures is a continuation of Junior Technician Weaver's adventures in the Royal Air Force as previously related in Per Ardua Ad Ulcers. After four memorable year's service in the UK he is posted to a radar unit in the North of Germany. However, he finds himself billeted on a flying station and once more in the "proper air force." Here he manages once again to fall foul of military authority. His search for true love continues on the continent but without much success. Tragedy again befalls him with the loss of a good friend, but the humour that persisted in the previous book is present throughout the sequel.show more

About MR William a Webb

William Webb spent ten years in the RAF before continuing his career in telecommunications around the world. Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Libya, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Belize, and Oman are just some of the forty five countries he eventually worked in. He put his travel experience to good use in his first book, Been There, Done That, Got the T-Shirt which is a guide for would-be travellers. His adventures in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Libya, and Zimbabwe are described in his often hilarious book My Art Is Where the Ohm Is. In addition to his two RAF novels he also produced a work based on the autograph book of a WW1 nurse who happened to have lived on the same street as him. The interesting collection of poems, drawings, and messages of gratitude from wounded soldiers can be found in The Best Medicine. All of William Webb's books can also be found as e-books on the Amazon website.show more
