Advenza Freight was a rail freight company based in Gloucester in the United Kingdom. It was part of the Cotswold Rail group. The company was wound up in the High Court on 7 October 2009, following a petition from HM Revenue & Customs. In 2007, First Great Western used Advenza Freight to move stock from various refurbishments and for positioning moves. Advenza Freight has previously delivered Intercity 125 powercars to Brush Traction for MTU fitment and refurbishment. In 2008, Advenza Freight started operating scrap metal flows from TJ Thomsons & Son in Stockton on Tees to Cardiff. Later in this year contracts for Hitchin, Sheerness and Shipley to Cardiff scrap metal flows were won. Advenza Freight also started running a service from Tilbury to West Burton Power Station, starting on the 2nd June 2009.
