Description

Step into the miniature world of Brambly Hedge in this exquisite slipcase containing four classic picture books! The mice of Brambly Hedge have many adventures but they always have time for fun too. All through the year, they mark the seasons with feasts and festivities and, of course, the mice never miss an opportunity to meet and celebrate. This beautifully designed slipcase contains four classic stories following their adventures throughout the year. In The High Hills, Wilfred goes on an exciting expedition. There is a wonderful surprise for a growing family of mice in Poppy's Babies. The mice celebrate Midwinter's Eve in style in The Secret Staircase, and in Sea Story, the mice set sail for Sandy Bay on an important mission.

About Jill Barklem

Jill Barklem was born in Epping and led a quiet childhood enjoying being close to nature. On leaving school, she studied illustration at St Martin's in London. The inspiration for Brambly Hedge appeared during Jill's daily train journey between Epping and London: shutting herself off from the outside world, she became obsessed with the way of life of a band of hedgerow mice, later to be developed as the world of Brambly Hedge. Jill still lives in Epping, Essex.
