It was described by Heinrich, in 1956. It contains the species Adelperga cordubensiella, which was originally described as Heterographis cordubensiella by Ragonot, in 1888. It is known from Argentina.The Pyralidae or snout moths are a family of Lepidoptera in the ditrysian superfamily Pyraloidea. In many (particularly older) classifications, the grass moths (Crambidae) are included in the Pyralidae as a subfamily, making the combined group one of the largest families in the Lepidoptera.
