When the banker's step son is kidnapped Harper is drawn into the holdup to assist the man who is temporarily filling in for the marshal. Harper senses that all is not right in Abilene and others who reside in the cow town may be involved. Harper is surprised when quite by accident he runs into his older brother, Monte, whom he has not seen in years. There is a warm reunion takes place and Monte joins up with Chris in his search to find the 'silent' gang members who live in Abilene Town.
