Description

This book is an English compilation of 40 sayings (hadith) from the Prophet Muhammad, peace to him narrated by 'Aisha, may God be pleased with her. The narration of prophetic speech is among one of the most important tasks in Islam. Without the preservation of prophetic speech, each generation would be more and more confused as to what it means to live an ethical and moral life in accordance with the pleasure of God. 'Aisha is one of the great hadith narrators who kept the speech of the prophet, peace to him, alive by memorizing his words during his lifetime and teaching them to others after his death. This work is an extension of 'Aisha's legacy.

Review quote

"As our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ exhaled for the last time in the lap of our Mother Aisha رضي الله عنها, it is symbolic that a great majority of his ﷺ sacred sayings were transmitted through her purified breath through which breezes narration until our time." -Ustadha Wajiha Gregor

"...Nuriddeen accentuates the need for more female scholars, what it looks like when women have equal access to our spiritual masters, and the central role that many women have played in the preservation and dissemination of core Islamic teachings." -Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamid, Zaytuna College

"It is a valuable collection of the profound wisdom and experience of the great scholar-sage Lady A'isha bint Abi Bakr... Nuriddeen Knight has not only done a great service for us all but is a living testament that the spiritual and intellectual legacy of Lady A'isha endures." -Imam Adeyinka Muhammad Mendes

"This short book serves the dual purpose of relaying precious gems of Prophetic wisdom while showcasing the role of Sayyidah 'Aisha who is one of the most important female scholars in Islamic civilization." -Imam Dawud Walid, Author of Centering Black Narrative: Black Muslim Nobles Among the Early Pious Muslims

"...Aisha the daughter of Abu Bakr and Um Ruman... a few things are certain: she was a beloved wife of Prophet Muhammad; daughter of a saintly man, Abu Bakr; and a scholar's scholar. She is a giant upon whose shoulders we stand, and this nimble book does her and us a great service by focusing on/lifting/raising to the fore(front) her mind, her legacy, and her contribution." -Ustadha Faatimah Knight
