Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The 220th Brigade was a formation of the British Army during the First World War. It was raised as a second line brigade, part of the 73rd Division, from those men in the Territorial Force who had not agreed to serve overseas. The second line infantry battalions had a minimum strength of 600 men. The British Army is the land warfare branch of Her Majesty's Armed Forces in the United Kingdom. It came into being with the unification of the Kingdom of England and Scotland into the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1707. The new British Army incorporated Regiments that had already existed in England and Scotland and was administered by the War Office from London. It has been managed by the Ministry of Defence since 1964.show more
