2006 Strategic HR Management
Looking at the extent to which human resource (HR) departments participate in strategic planning at their organizations, this report summarizes survey results and measures the specific functions described by the respondents. Potential barriers to participation are analyzed, and a comparison is made of HR departments with and without formal responsibilities for strategic planning. Recommendations for ways to develop the strategic skills of HR staff are included, and interpretations of current practice are used to predict future trends.
