The New York Giants are an American football team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, representing the New York City metropolitan area. The Giants are currently members of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The team plays their games at New Meadowlands Stadium, which it shares with the New York Jets in a unique arrangement. The Giants were one of five teams that joined the NFL in 1925, but the only one admitted that year which still exists. The 1984 New York Giants season was the 60th season for the club in the National Football League. With a 9-7 record, the Giants finished in a tie for second in the National Football Conference East Division and qualified for the playoffs. In the Wild Card round, New York traveled to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and defeated the Los Angeles Rams 16-13 to advance to the Divisional round. There, the Giants lost to the San Francisco 49ers 21-10.show more
