In post-season play, the team had one win and three losses; they were eliminated in the Western Division championship series. On May 4, 1984, Nashville's Jim Deshaies pitched the first no-hitter in franchise history in the second game of a seven-inning Doubleheader against the Columbus Astros, a 5-1 victory. The Astros scored their only in the second inning when Deshaies walked three batters and hit another.
