December 5, 1959: Chico Fern ndez and Ray Semproch were traded by the Phillies to the Detroit Tigers for Ted Lepcio, Ken Walters and Alex Cosmidis. December 9, 1959: Gene Freese was traded by the Phillies to the Chicago White Sox for Johnny Callison. March, 1960: Jim Bolger was purchased from the Phillies by the Milwaukee Braves.
