Excerpt: ...Michael Warrant Issued Cornelisse, Cornelius Fulliman, Johannes Myer, Gyshert Garretse, Gysbert Bogaert, John Powelse, and Nicholas Burger, late Watchmen of this City, the sum of fifty five pounds Current Money of this Colony (that is to Say) the sum of five pounds ten shillings to each of them, and also the sum of twelve pounds to the twelve Constables of this City in the Six Wards on the south side of the fresh Water, (that is to Say) twenty shillings to each Constable in full of their service for the Constables Watch of this City from the Sixth day of December last to this day which in the whole amounts to Sixty seven pounds. Ordered that Alderman Roome. Alderman Johnson, Alderman Fell Capt Fred or any three of them be a Committee to agree with Six able Citizens of this City to be Watchmen of this City for two Months from the date hereof, who together with A Constable each Night are to be the Watch of this City for that Term. The Committee Appointed to make an Exact Survey of the Land Granted by this Corporation to Jacob Dekey was read in the words following (Vizt) By Vertue of an Order in writing of this Court of the 31't' day of March last, whereby Stephen Bayard, Simon Johnson, and Christopher Fell ESqr5 Aldermen, and John Moore, Charles Le Roux, and Ide Myer Assistants or any four of us (Calling to our assistance the surveyors of this City or any one of them) were appointed to Cause an Exact survey to be made of the Land formerly Granted by this Corporation to Mr Jacob Dekey in the Out Ward of this City, also to Cause an Exact Draught to be made thereof with the quantity of Acres Contained therein, with the Buttings and Boundaries thereof, and to make Report thereof with all Convenient Expedition.
