Simone Beuke This psychological thriller draws you in from the very first page and doesn't let go till long after reading the last page. The powerful personalities presented in Voodoo Doll make for a power packed book you can't put down.
The book set in Sydney Australia starts with a simple home invasion investigation which quickly becomes more than meets the eye as new home invasions follow that turn into attacks which grow increasingly violent ultimately resulting in death. The Sydney police form a special taskforce devoted solely to the case and thus the story runs full of tension and fear. The identities of the attackers are revealed from the very beginning as this isn't the type of thriller that asks you to guess the attackers identity it lets you know right from the start who they are giving the reader insights into a mind that becomes increasingly disturbing and scary.
This book is a force to be reckoned with full of tension, drama, nightmares and realistic scenarios which I can highly recommend. Definitely the best read of 2009. by Simone Beuke
