Reviews for Yaoi Manga: Awkward Silence 1
One of her best works.
I really like this mangaka's works, her characters are likeable and sweet. Often very varied.
This one has a pretty original hero, he has a really hard time showing his emotions because he doesn't show much expression. They always let you know what he's really thinking though, which is pretty funny. Things get a little easier when the boy he likes asks him out and they begin to date. This boy, Tamiya Keigo somehow seem to understand him pretty well which makes life a little easier.
Later one in the series you're also introduced to another couple, one of the boys who's Satoru's ( the main character ) childhood friend. The other one is a very popular boy at their school, often seen having girls hanging around him. But he's not really interested in those girls at all! And so, Yuji, the childhood friend gets some love as well. Without spoiling too much. lol
Vol 4 just came out in Japan, I'm not sure how long this series will become but it's worth getting for all Yaoi/BL fans. Especially if you like Hinako Takanaga. ( Plus Sublime does a good work with the translation. )
Of course, this is also a mature title and shouldn't be read by people under 18, despite it's sweet storyline. It's not really THAT graphic, but there's still sex.
I give it a full score, obviously! The art and story as well as the characters are fun to read about! by maria palsson
