I turn to this book a lot. It's like an encyclopedia. It has a lot of helpful information analyzing modern food as well as healthy recipes. It does seem daunting and over-whelming at first, but over 4 years I have slowly changed our family's diet to become a 'nourishing traditions diet', and we are better for it, especially our young children.

This book contains all the faults it condemns in others. I found it totally impracticable and just another fad eating dissertation. From the description, I was expecting a knowledge-based critique of the claims made by so-called medical authorities and diet "gurus, based on valid scientific studies and at least some knowledge of mammalian physiology. I was "expensively" disillusioned.

Very well written and extremely interesting book. Loaded with great, healthy recipes and nutritional advice. This book has become my 'bible'!!

Review quote

"I have to recommend . . . Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. The first chapter of her book is so right on target that I feel a little guilty for taking her ideas." Robert C. Atkins, MD"
