Nat Possibly the most comprehensive history of science, this novel will enrapture you from the beginning and hold you through to the very last page, leaving you still wanting more.

With the most engaging conversational tone I've ever encountered, Bill Bryson drags you through the WHYS of and HOWS of everything from the big bang, quantum physics, oceanography and the development of humans, plus many more.

This non-fiction novel is not for the faint hearted - it'll cause your mind to implode in its complexity and sheer volume of information, but you can't stop reading! A must-read for everyone and should be a permanent addition to the science classroom.

I've always been dissatisfied with teacher's explanations on WHY things are how they are - and how scientists came to that conclusion in the first place. If you too remember thinking "But why?" over and over again, than this book is for you.

It'll answer a lot of questions about science but open up a whole heap more, encouraging you to broaden your mind and your understanding of this world we live in that, truly, we are barely beginning to understand.

    Good luck! by Nat
