    My favourite one so far4

Fiona Connolly Lore leads the 4th instalment of the sexy Demonica series. Encounters with him in the previous book left me wanting more of this mysterious and dangerous (aren’t they all) demon; and I was not disappointed.

His mate Idess, an earthbound angel, is likable from the start and their evolving relationship fresh. Yes, there’s the sexual tension from the ‘will they/won’t they’, but they are not separated by big, dark secrets (at least not many) which characters in these paranormal romances so frequently are. And it was nice.

After not recalling must about the last three, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this. It started fast and kept me interested. It might have just been the right book at the right time, because lets be honest, they are not masterpieces, but on the whole it was one of the better ones in its genre.

There were obviously a few things I didn’t like; For instance, the ‘bad guy’. This was really frustrating, but I won’t say more so I don’t spoil it. Lore’s sister Sin was also incredibly annoying and clichéd. And as she’s leading the next book I do hope she grows on me fast.

In saying that, I’m really looking forward to the next one, which is always a good sign. For any fan of the series: you won’t be disappointed. For any newcomer: you don’t really need to read the first three (although I don’t like reading things out of order) and it’s good entertainment. A light, fun read to relax to. by Fiona Connolly
