Haunting
I dont often (ever?) write book reviews. But WTF - here goes. I had to read this at high school, which is kind of a killer for any book. And we dissected it, and discussed the symbolism, and...yawn...But I've just read it again (my boyfriend told me to on pain of - well you wouldn't want to know) and...wow. Its so different when you're reading it for fun. I loved it. Its an inverted world, with inverted values, and ...well would happen if the firemen DID burn all the books? I love the way the writer works though this question. I dont think he actually knows the answer at the start, and maybe even at the end, but OMG it chills you just thinking through it. And so this book keeps you engrossed - what will happen? Will Montag do his duty or do what is right? You have to read it to find out! by Kitty Morris

A Timelessness From An Old Classic
This book was, and still is, totally riveting and unputdownable (I don't care if that isn't a real word)! The images were so well placed and I just cannot believe this book was written over 50 years ago. It posseses a timelessness that is true of all classic, but this is somehow different. It tells of a dystopic future that is still very much relevent today. In contrast to Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four", this book never fails to excite, it is always powering on, it's images whirling in your mind, like the ashes of the books the protagonist, Guy Montag, burns. This book can be read over and over, each time something new gleaned from its pages. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read. by Blake
