Light & Fun Read
OMG!!!!...I freaking in love with this book...i dont really care if this book is written in a perspective of a girl but I totally can connect with Anna in terms of emotion, the problems that she faced etc...This book really makes me want to go to France and visit all the places that Stephanie Perkins mentioned in this book...soooo damnnn goooooddddd!!!!!!...i should've read this book a long time ago but i feel really good now that i have read it and finally liking it...this book totally deserved 5 stars from me :) by Azizul

One simple word to describe the book: AWESOME!
I've been hearing about this book a lot on the net and wasn't disappointed after I've read it for myself.
Follow Anna as she was thrown into School of America in Paris alone. Naturally, she's totally upset. But she met her neighbor Meredith and her gang of friends (Etienne included). So everything is normal in school except for her crazy attraction towards Etienne which grows while she was still thinking of her would-be-boyfriend Toph, plus the fact that Etienne has Ellie. (Booo...)
Etienne is just too sweet... bringing Anna to places just because he knew she wouldn't leave the school/residence if no one asked her. So they had great fun. I seriously want to bash Etienne for behaving the way he did a few times in the book. Is he clueless? So ok, he may not be the most perfect guy who has a girlfriend and yet kept hanging around Anna (you the the reason why he did that-hanging around Anna I mean) but why did it had to take so LONG for him to figure out. But boy, when it did, it made my heart flutter! *dreamy sigh* Anna, keep him well!!
Lots of things happened in the book. You'll love their little venture outside of school and everything else. Give a book a try!

I was going through my French phase when I saw this and I wasn't disappointed. You can't help but love the characters and the hope that Anna and St. Claire get together, just pushes you through the book with ease. This book is more about the characters and not so much about Paris, so if your after a low down on the most romantic city in the world probably best to stick to lonely planet. It does however create a lovely atmosphere in which to picture the ups and downs of falling in and out of love. Overall a great book to get lost in. by Jen Munro
Perfect Escapism
Prior to reading this novel, I hadn't had much of an interest in France. However, now I've experienced it with Anna I must go!
This novel was easily devoured. The setting, the characters and the chemistry were amazing! I put aside my pending exams and finished it in one afternoon. There were many laugh out loud moments and just so much to swoon over - not just Etienne and Anna, but the city itself.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an escape, romance or an entertaining YA read. by Shannon R- Top review

I know that nearly everyone has read and reviewed this book for me, but I am just getting off of the sweeping tour of Paris, and the anticipation rush from Anna and St Clair (I'll call him that not because I didn't feel effection for him, but because I'm not the fondest of E name.)
I've seen so many positive reviews, I tried to wipe my slate clean before reading so that I could just enjoy (or not) the story before me. And enjoy it I did. It was a fast, fun, and romantic story that surprised me with the emotional depth at times. There aren't just cute and fun issues here, there are some hard ones--sickness, barriers to friendship, and just raw emotions from events playing out.
I do sympathize with St Clair's reasonings behind Ellie, but I still have to say that it still didn't sit right with me. Sure, she's not there and his feelings for Anna are strong, but why drag it on? It would've been hard as a girl seeing it from Ellie's eyes, but I think that would've been the right thing to do.... I guess I just had to mention that because that's the one thing in the book that still nags at me.
That is not to say that I thought negatively of the book, I loved it. Anna grows and learns so much, and she has a great (and wonderfully written) group of friends, and the tension between her and St Clair kept me on the edge of my seat. by Brandi Kosiner Immediate LOVE!
Have you ever felt that fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach when someone special walks through the door or the feeling of your heart pounding in your chest when this special someone speaks? You'll have that feeling within every few pages you read. You can't help but fall in love with this novel.
Every aspect of the book was real right down to each vibrant character. It was detailed so well that it gives the reader a one-way ticket to France and the only way they'll leave is when they put the book down and on top of that I don't think you'd one to.
The story follows Anna as she is sent to France by her writer dad to finish her senior year in high school. As things escalate Anna falls for her best friend who is taken and the readers find themselves feeling everything she is from the denial of her feelings for him to her acceptance of it. She is a character that makes the reader feel like someone you really know. She's ambitious, determined and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to movies that the reader actually learns a few things from her.
Every event in the leads to another and is everything that happens in a teenage girls life. The drama, the fights with her friends, the feuds with the family, and the love that's shared between family, friends and friends you'd like to have as lovers. Every emotion and happening is perfectly described and illustrated.
The book was extremely easy to read and the moment I began the book I was already laughing out loud and you've got to hand it to the author for being able to write something that hooks you into the story right from the start.
Anna and the French Kiss is by far the best teen romance book I've ever read. Stephanie Perkin's is the modern Jane Austen. I tip my hat to her excellence! by Najla Qamber
