John B Neil This is an engaging novella and introduction to Zweig's writing. I bought it on spec after seeing Zweig referenced in a blog I follow. It is a clever construction wherein the enclosed space of a chess match opens into an exploration of characters, background and wider world they inhabit. by John B Neil
