A Single Man - Isherwood
"A Single Man" is one of those short, exquisitely well-crafted books that you can't help but greedily devour in a single sitting; and yet you dread the thought of finishing it. The prose is poignant and beautiful and the subject matter is dealt subtlety but insightfully. I usually have no qualms with finishing a book and beginning another in the same day, but with this, I need time to digest. I'm scared that whatever book I choose next to read, will ultimately disappoint. I can't recommend it strongly enough. by Troy Alexander
