Reviews for To Have and to Kill
Light, fun romance
To Have and To Kill is a very light romance, with some nice one-liners and a pleasant dose of mystery. I admit, I didn't twig to who the killer was until about page 198 (of 248), and although I wasn't fooled by the misdirection, the final revelation came as a bit of a shock.
The story flowed well, with likable characters and a believable plot; the in-depth baking tips are just an added bonus.
It's not a gripping read, it's light and easy, with no gore and no real romance, but it does manage to leave its readers with a contented happy ever after (and a recipe for buttercream icing). It's most certainly an enjoyable read that's easy to get into and makes for a very pleasant afternoon read out in the sunshine.
Not for the reader looking for intense emotions, hot steam, or dramatic action; think hammock, sipping mojitos, and gentle breezes for your perfect reading experience. by Alison Sammes
