    Prologue: Olivia's mother was killed and she herself was turned in a Draden attack, and now she has to feed on life force to survive and to live she will have to guard this secret from everyone especially the Ferals as the draden kissed are feared for they can kill many easily even if unintentional therefore they will be killed.

    Being a member of the elite Therian Guard for more than three hundred years Olivia is now called upon by the Ferals to help stop the Mage from freeing Satanan where she meets Jag , one of the warriors at the Feral House. He is nothing less than a jerk but she finds herself attracted to him nevertheless.
    Jag is an arrogant and vulgar feral and he has made the intriguing Olivia his obsession the minute he laid his eyes on her and will not rest until he has her in bed with him.

    Olivia is forced to partner Jag on their mission after daemons. Tables turn as she starts getting under his skin instead with her "know it all attitude". When Olivia's life is threatened, Jag realized that what he feels for her is much more than sexual attraction but is then presented with her darkest secret. Jags scorching anger at the truth turns to cunning as he decides to keep her secret for sex in return. As they continue on their mission, they discover the Mage planning on something big and Jag drives Olivia crazy with his erratic behavior, trying to distant her further everytime his mask falters.

    After a close call during an attack mission, Jag opens up to her and accepts his feeling for her even as he feels he doesn't deserve her. The rest of the Ferals learn the truth about Olivia when Jags darkness overwhelms him yet again. Before he could make up with her, she gets abducted by the Mage and they intend to use her in a wicked plan...

    This is the first book by Pamela Palmer I'm reading and I have to say, I loved her style of writing and fine imagery though the plot is somewhat weak in the first half. Apart from that, I really liked the concept. Rapture Untamed is a character driven novel; strong portrayal of the personality of both the main characters and the character development was solid through the battle of their inner demons, pain, forgiveness and finally the ability to truly love. Olivia is a strong character that had gone through something terrible at a very young age and has dealt with the emotional shadows but she holds a permanent fear and Jag is truly a dark character who carries an emotional baggage from a past incident and that has left a negative effect on him. The rocky relationship between them is intense and solid. I noticed some readers find some scenes disturbing but I felt it was necessary to be true to the characters. I also enjoyed the secondary characters that were equally well drawn that we can get a grasp of their personalities as well. by Syamanthra
