A Game of Thrones
One of the best works of modern fantasy I have ever had the pleasure to read. From the very beginning, Martin's very specific style of writing - raw, dark, cynical - makes you devour page after page, always wondering what is going to happen on the next page. Some characters you'll love, some you'll hate, some you'd wish they die - but you'll going to want to read more about each and every one of them. Not only does every character have very specific nature, but the story very well connects the enire "crew" so that even though you don't like one of the characters, you want to know what's happening around him. by Martin Hasak

A Game of Thrones
I am down to the last few chapters of the 1st Book The Game of Thrones and am planning to finish it today. It is an excellent book that leads you into a fantasy world. I have been moved by the plight of the characters and enjoyed the many twists and turns in the story line. As others have quoted I have lost sleep, meals and time with friends to finish reading this book but its all been worth it. Now I just need the rest of the series to arrive !! by Lisa McDonald

Excellent!
I am really enthused after reading this book. It is the best fantasy I've ever read. My only objection to this series is that at this time, on Jan 20th 2011, the series hasn't been completed! Bear that in mind, in case you want to start reading and you find yourself having finished the fourth book and will be waiting for a long time for the next! by Thanassis Roubies

This series of books is the best fantasy series I have ever read. It is smart, origional and so well written. But I will warn you that these books are very hard to put down, I have lost so much sleep staying up to read these books, it's not funny. by Alan Kirwan
