The books of Award-winning weird fiction writer, China Mieville*, are having a makeover to coincide with the release of his new fantasy novel Embassytown published on the 6th of May.

To celebrate, you can win a print of the cover of your choice (all in the nice banner above) signed by China and the artist**! We've got some questions below for you to answer to be in with a chance to win.

And you can find the rest of China's newly-minted, newly-jacketed books here.

*China Mieville lives and works in London. He is the three-time winner of the Arthur C Clarke Award, twice winner of the British Fantasy Award and this year's winner of the Hugo and World Fantasy Award. He's the author of acclaimed young adult novel, Un Lun Dun. As well as writing fantastic fiction, China's PhD thesis has been turned into a book, Between Equal Rights: A Marxist Theory of International Law, published in 2005. He is a member of the British Socialist Workers Party and in 2001 stood for Parliament for the Socialist Alliance in North Kensington.
**The design process was quite organic as these things often are - We worked closely with Neil Lang (senior designer at Pan Macmillan) on developing the style. In the first instance we were directed to a China Mieville fan site where China showed us some modern American gig posters that he liked the look of. This helped us think about a stylistic approach. The next stage was to try and get the flavour of the books across as a series. The books are all quite different but do often have themes, ideas and common ways of thinking throughout. We picked up on the balance China creates between mechanical & organic, reality & surreal - this often seemed to be a play between 2 worlds. This is how the split cover came about and then for each cover we worked closely with Neil and the team to pick appropriate images to represent each book.

Closing date is 5pm GMT, publication day - 6th of May 2011
