    We're always trying to refine our business and find out exactly the best way to give you, our customers, the finest service possible. So, we've put together this little survey to gather some information and maybe make a few changes (or, hopefully, keep things exactly as they are!)

    Thanks to the good people at McGraw Hill for sponsoring the prize.

    1. 1. No purchase necessary. Proof of entering is not proof of receipt of entry.

      2. To be eligible, entries must be received on or before the competition closing date. All entries shall become the property of The Book Depository, and their directors, officers, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies are not responsible for contacting or forwarding prizes to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed.

      3. The competition is open to all. Parents/guardians must submit the entry for those under the age of 16. Images must not contain photographs of minors.

      4. The prize winner will be decided by The Book Depository. The Book Depository will not enter into correspondence about the choice of winner.

      5. The competition ends as specified on the competition page -- no entry received after that time will be considered. The winner will be announced as specified on the competition page. There is one prize

      6. The promoter reserves the right to amend the specification of the prize or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

      7. The prize winner will be notified by telephone/email. If the selected entrant does not meet all of the contract conditions, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.

      8. The competitions are not open to employees of The Book Depository and and their sponsors or their immediate families.

      9. By entering the contest, entrants, consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph and/or image for publicity purposes in all media carried out by The Book Depository, without payment or compensation.

      10. The decisions of the contest judges are final. The prize must be accepted as awarded.

      11. The right is reserved to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time.

      12. All entries become the property of The Book Depository, who assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by The Book Depository on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. The Book Depository reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the email portion of this contest should a virus or bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of The Book Depository corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, The Book Depository reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered within any way. Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the independent judging panel, which are final.

      13. Entries must be submitted by the named entrant (or their parent/guardian for children aged 16 or under) and will be invalid if found to come from a third party. Multiple entries from a single source (e.g 'competition entry' website/company) will be disqualified.

      14. For name/county of prize winner, please send a stamped addressed envelope marked The Book Depository, Royal Albert House, Sheet Street, Windsor, SL4 1BE. No entries should be sent to this address.

      15. Entry to the competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions.

      16. The email address and phone number you provide to enter the competition will be used by us to contact you if necessary, and will not be shared with other companies. The Book Depository will only use your email address in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with our privacy policy.

      17. The Promoters have organised these prize draws in good faith and do not accept liability relating to the prize.

      As others have stated, Australia is very expensive for books so at least a couple of times per year, I purchase a selection of books from Book Depository and have them sent out to my daughter in Australia. It is always good fun keeping her in suspense as to how many books she will be receiving as they all arrive in individual packages. I love Book Depository, it is a godsend for me. Keep up the good work and please don't change a thing....it's perfect! Fantastic to deal with, excellent professional service and I recommend to everyone to use your website. Thank you.

      Love book depository site, a wide range of titles, makes me feel shopping in a private bookstore and with no shipping fee I am able to buy books according to my preference without worrying on how much more should I spend for shipment. And the great thing is i can purchase a book as a gift and send it straight to the recipient. Always recommend this site to my family and friends.

      I'm from Chile and i must say i love bookdepository, they have the most awesome section of graphic novel (comics). Here in Chile is to difficult see a library with a section of graphic novel.       I too live in the country in Australia and the nearest book store is a long way away. I never go past one on my normal drives to work. Where I shop there isn't a specialist book store. Having you there as a safe and reliable store with good titles is great.

      Great site. I live in Australia (in the country) and the range of titles and great prices, not to mention free shipping is a huge boost for my book collection. I work in a library and mainly buy cookbooks through this site, but I have been able to buy books that we cannot get here unless we lived in the big cities and had access to one of the big book stores. I have bought books through the site and sent them to Alaska to friends there. Great site, my husband rolls his eyes in his head when I receive the little red notice from the post office to pick up yet another book. He has had to build another floor to ceiling bookshelf for all the books I have been buying. Once again I am losing time on this site (so easily done). Keep up the great work.

      I'd like to be able to buy books for gifts and have them sent straight to the person they're intended for, and the invoice/receipt sent to me. That would be a great help and I'd be able to more easily buy books eg for Christmas presents for relatives overseas.

      One of the best things about bookdepository is the free postage. especialy us on small incomes and pensions.       Book Depository is my favorite source for books but I am bugged when you say that a book is unavailable to me in the US when I know that the same book would be available to a UK purchaser. For example, there was a book I wanted. When it was never listed as available, I enquired and Book Depository replied that you depend on publishers making the book available. I contacted the publisher in the UK who didn't know what I was talking about since they had the book in stock AND they could pull up the title on bookdepository.co.uk and verify its availability. From this I deduce that there may be geographic restrictions on distribution. I would prefer that you say so rahter than tease me that it might be available soon. Other than this, your service is terrific.

      Im a mexican livig in New Zealand. As part of a Spanish playgroup for pre-schoolers I have found the best books in Spanish with you guys!! It is almost impossible to get them on the shops so it has been great for our little children's library...and for my own books as well. All the books have always arrived in perfect condition...!

      The book depository has the best prices in the world and free delivery! What more could one want?! But please, dont start shrink wrapping! Anually you must deliver millions of books individually as it is. Think of how much plastic wrap that is in the worlds landfills!

      I have always found the Book Depository easy to navigate, easy to read reviews & details regarding books, easy to order. Once when I had a problem with a delivery, the staff got my order back on track very promptly & courteously. I still peruse independent book shops, for pleasure & to support them. Sometimes I buy from them but mostly I order thru the book depository to save my hard earned time & pennies. I believe...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

      great site and even better value. bought a few books very recently and to my surprise the postage to me, here in ireland was cheaper than the postage from Dublin to Longford!; my sister sent me a book from there and it cost seven euro to post. your book, of similar weight cost me five-eightyfive including purchase!!!

      I just lov it - and a good coffee as well. My Best friend since .. (high School) and I give each other books as gifts then swap them with each other. I luv a good read in my hammock (fav place to read) A friend at church told me about your site I still cant believe my good fortune at this discovery and have told loads of mates about it .       I live in a small town with an excellent book shop owned & run by wonderful people so I don't buy so many from book depository (and feel guilty when I do). I love the smell of the shop & to be able to handle the books before I buy.

      Good luck to everyone! I hope nothing changes too much, because as far as I can see this website has no flaws. Free shipping to Australia and overall cheap prices, especially for manga! I'm very thankful for that as the prices for manga here are extremely overpriced.

      So many comments about book prices in Australia - so TRUE! I also rave about the Book Depository to anyone that stands still long enough!! It has allowed me to let the children start their own book collections of book series thay want - it so good to see them want to read and reread and keep the books nicely in the shelves because they treasure them - I can afford to let them do that now - thanks for the free shipping too!!!!

      I have used a few online book sites. I once needed a specific book and a friend told me that I could get it on your site.       I'm pretty sure I already participated in the competition, but I forgot to say that one of the features I'd like to see on the website is having more flexible wishlists. For example an import/export option would be awesome, especially if your customers are members of websites similar to goodreads. I find it extremely tedious to re-add all the books I have on the BD wishlist or that I have purchased from you to my goodread account.

      I don't know what I'd have done without Book Depository as due to a catastrophic house fire in October 2010 I lost about 700+ books, the collection of my lifetime. Some of these are obviously irreplaceable but I'm slowly rebuilding my library - & my house! Can't live without books!

      Free Delivery is great! Especially to Ireland as Amazon and other sites charge for delivery. However, sometimes i search for a book and your site says it's not available, i then do a search on Amazon for the ISBN. I once again search your site with the ISBN and find the book i was looking for

      Free delivery is excellent and books have always arrived in good condition. Great range and I love that you can watch the 'live' activity on the site seeing what others all over the world are buying and reading....gives me some good ideas.

      I always buy books from the book depository and love that it is so cheap. So much easier than getting in the car and paying double to triple the price when i can sit on my bed and buy a book and have it shipped straight to my door. Thank you!

      I will always use book depository. Books there are really cheap and I like that delivery is free. I used to spend a lot of money buying books from other sites and now I spend less at least by a third.

      i will always use The Book Depository as long as your delivery is free. your prices are comparable or cheaper than other sites such as amazon and your range is comprehensive, if these things ever change I will look elsewhere...

      I live in italy and not always the books I look for are available and when they are the price difference from store to bookdepository can be up to 6/7 €! I purchase almost uniquely at bookdepository because: 1. You know immediately the final cost, in most website you have to go through all the purchasing system only to find out at the end what you are really going to pay. 2. It's quite fast. Thank you for the good service!

      maybe predictable, but: do not change free delivery. It is something that made (makes) me buy (& enjoy reading) 25% more books (at least). Stay this way. If better, well than better, but make unchangeable basis of what you are now. So I can too.

      PLEASE do not change the free delivery! It is my saviour! The books here are cheaper than the local book store (i live in a small town) and if it wasn't for this site i would go crazy.       you have great value for the money, the only other place I buy books from is used book stores, which are great for mindless reading matter, but for the latest up to date books, gifts, and other books you are the best I've found for the money, and I found that your shipping times to be about the same as if I were to pay for it from another site. keep up the great work, I can smell the coffee brewing as I type this

      I live in Canada and although I also purchase from Chapters-Indigo online, I now buy whenever I can from Book Depository, in spite of the longer delivery time. Your prices and selection are almost always better, and as someone who participates in the C-I online community heavily, I have introduced all my friends to Book Depository. Even after my C-I membership, you are almost always more affordable and have a much better selection. Awesome job!

      Your free delivery service is GREAT and I've recommended you to several friends. It saves me kilos in my suitcase when I travel to friends abroad - when I want to take them books, I just order them from you and have more room for other (lighter) gifts in my suitcase! I once bought a fantastic book on Italy when I was in California but was unhappy about the weight (5 kgs!) to carry back to the UK and was mortified when I discovered you and found that I could have bought it from you and saved myself the trouble. However, I did buy another copy of it and had it despatched to another friend in the USA - I would never have sent it to her if I had had to pay the postage myself and she was delighted with it!! Many many thanks!! DON'T EVER CHANGE YOUR EXCELLENT SERVICE!
