The collection will be released in time for the announcement of the award in July 2009. Previous winners and entrants include Segun Afolabi, Leila Aboulela, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Brian Chikwava, Mary Watson, Binyavanga Wainaina and Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor.
