DescriptionRosemary's young, just at college, and she's decided not to tell anyone a thing about her family. So we're not going to tell you too much either: you'll have to find out for yourselves what it is that makes her unhappy family unlike any other. Rosemary is now an only child, but she used to have a sister the same age as her, and an older brother. Both are now gone - vanished from her life. There's something unique about Rosemary's sister, Fern. So now she's telling her story; a looping narrative that begins towards the end, and then goes back to the beginning. Twice. It's funny, clever, intimate, honest, analytical and swirling with ideas that will come back to bite you. We hope you enjoy it, and if, when you're telling a friend about it, you do decide to spill the beans about Fern - it's pretty hard to resist - don't worry.

  • Hard slog1

Emily Purse This book is very slow to get into and even after I got to the 'spoiler' part of the book it still was hard going to read and not overly interesting even when certain things made sense after discovering the 'spoiler'. I quit reading half way through and passed it on hoping the next person to read it would get to the end and I could get the quick version of the ending. I kind of wished I borrowed it from the library first to see if I liked it before spending the money on it. by Emily Purse

    Disappointed by Previous Review5

Bernadette French Well, no need to read the book now. Annoyed by previous review. Why do people have to do that? I'm disappointed that Book Depository hasn't removed this review as this comment ruins it for both the author and any prospective reader that accidentally reads this poorly considered comment prior to purchasing the book. While I believe in free speech - I think you can express your opinion without ruining the foundation of it for others. Please disregard my rating as I have not read the book, nor am I likely to do so now that I've read the previous review. Thanks again. by Bernadette French
