This is Lauren Kate's third novel, the second in a planned quartet about Luce and Daniel. Her first book, The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove, was published just before Fallen. Her paranormal angel romances have confirmed her as a huge name in YA fiction. Lauren was in born in Texas, studied and worked in New York and now lives in California. She shares her life with her husband - a Shakespeare scholar - and their new dog.

A teenage love story spiced up with a supernatural element plus some religious references as well. I read it while on a long train trip and it was great for this purpose. Didn't require a lot of my attention.

After reading Fallen, I could not stop reading and continued with Torment.
I finished it in one day! Loved it. Can not wait for Passion to be published. The ongoing struggle between good and evil is always a good read, but these books show that good can be evil and v.v.
Love to be drawn into a story of fantasy and romance.
"Breathtaking" Shout "Twilight fans are gonna love this spook-tastic new book" Top of the Pops "After reading Fallen, I just knew I had to read the book that followed. Torment was everything I expected it to be. It was as good as the first - packed with twice as much the suspense, action and love" Gripped Into Books
