Anna promised herself she'd never do the work of her father--polluting souls. She'd been naive to make such a claim. Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means earning an unwanted reputation as her school's party girl. And all the while there's gorgeous bad-boy Kaidan Rowe, the son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.Anna discovers it is her fate to banish demons from the earth, and save the other Nephilim from their dark destiny. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

¢??Ready to s-snuggle?" he asked Kaidan, a slight clatter in his voice. Only Blake could joke on a night like this and get away with it.
Kaidan shook his head and undressed down to his boxers, too, the tension finally shedding away from his frame. "I swear, mate. If I feel something poke me in the back. . ."
I really enjoyed the first novel in this series and I was s excited for this one! But I was let down with this installment and give this book a 3/5 stars!
My main problem about this book was the plot, hardly anything new was learned until the end and there was no action at all! All that happened was them travelling over the globe to find peoplec(and when they did, nothing exciting happened!), and that was it. Most of the plot felt to focused on the ¢??love triangle¢?? which I hated because I cannot stand them!
That being said the ending set up for what I hope in an action-packed final book in this series!
The main character Anna wasn¢??t as na?¯ve as she was in the first book which I liked a lot but her constant agony over Kaiden was annoying but she wasn¢??t too bad! As for Kaiden still love him a lot! My favourite characters are probably the twins and Blake, and they were hardly in the book! There was a new character introduced and I actually liked her a lot and hope she¢??s in the next book!
One thing I can say I really enjoyed about the book was all the different sins and how they were portayed. Wendy Higgins does not shy away from any of these and I loved how dark and twisted they made the story! And watching all the characters struggling with temptation was awesome! Probably my favourite thing about this series!
Overall this book was okay, I did like the first much better but I still cannot wait to read the next one!
