DescriptionAnnie Leonard, creator of the internet film sensation "The Story of Stuff", viewed over 6 million times, offers an astonishing, galvanizing book that tells the story of all the 'stuff' we use everyday - where our bottled water, mobile phones and jeans come from, how they're made and distributed, and where they really go when we throw them away. Our out-of-control consumption habits are killing the planet and threatening our health, but Annie provides hope that change is within reach. Like "An Inconvenient Truth and Silent Spring", "The Story of Stuff" will be an instant classic.

Reviews for The Story of Stuff
A well thought out and researched book about the economic systems that govern global production - from resource extraction till distribution and disposal - and the impact of these practices on people and the environment we all live in. It avoids the pitfalls of attacking the free market model while at the same time highlighting flaws in the system suggesting instead practical solutions based on equity, sustainablilty and respect for the environment. It is a powerful eye-opener, which is why I am rating this book full marks! by Charlemagne Caruana
