Reviews for The Sinkings
The Sinkings By Amanda Curtin
This was the most interesting book I have read for a long time. Set in the present day & mid to late 19th century convict era WA, it weaves an intriguing detective story which brings the past to life in a vivid & utterly engaging way. Amanda Curtin illustrates her characters both past & present in such a sympathetic manner that the reader cannot help but to become totally absorbed in this unusual & beguiling story. I couldn't put it down & cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone interested in history & especially the early beginnings of European settlement in WA & it's convict past. by Kathy Brims
