One of the best series around

I've heard a lot about the Sandman series and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype, and so far it has. It's somewhat set in the DC universe with other heroes and villains having cameo appearances, but the main focus is on the Dreamland and other locations based around it. The story centres around Dream, who is (surprise, surprise), the personification of dreams who can control and manipulate them and his various quests and hardships. The story is really engaging with a few emotional points. It is well-written and illustrated and I can't wait to continue on with the more
