Reviews for Saint-Germain: Memoirs
Saint-Germain:Memoirs
I have been reading Saint-Germain novels and short stories for many years. Saint-Germain is an enticing character; a vampire who has lived for millennia and is a hero of decency and compassion often to his own detriment, but he is a survivor. The historically accurate Saint-Germain novels are written with a combination of letters (the short story Intercession is entirely letters) and prose which submerge the reader in the location and its issues while telling an engaging story.
Memoirs contains six short stories (including Intercession mentioned previously) which will introduce you to the count and his devoted manservant Roger, though they use various versions of their names and titles over time. For fans, Intercession includes a letter sent to Niklos regarding Olivia's death in 1659.
If you have never met the count, Harpy may be a bit strange (he uses the name Ragosh-ski), but if you know the count, it all makes sense.
This is a book well worth reading. by Denise Wessner
