DescriptionThis boxed set contains three hilarious Stephanie Plum novels from Janet Evanovich: "Seven Up," "Hard Eight" and "To the Nines." "Seven Up""" All New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has to do is bring in semi-retired bail jumper Eddie DeChooch. For an old man he's still got a knack for slipping out of sight--and raising hell. How else can Stephanie explain the bullet-riddled corpse in Eddie's garden? Who else would have a clue as to why two of Stephanie's friends suddenly vanished? For answers Stephanie has the devil to pay: her mentor, Ranger. The deal? He'll give Stephanie all the help she needs--if she gives him everything he wants . . . "Hard Eight""" Fugitive Apprehension Agent Stephanie Plum has a big problem on her hands: Seven-year-old Annie Soder and her mother, Evelyn, have disappeared. Evelyn's estranged husband, Steven, a shady owner of a seedy bar, is not at all happy. Finding a kidnapped child is not an assignment for a bounty hunter. But Evelyn's grandmother lives next door to Stephanie's parents, so Stephanie follows the trail left by Annie and Evelyn-and finds a lot more than she bargained for. "To the Nines""" Stephanie's cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an immigrant who becomes an illegal alien by violating his Visa and extending his stay in the United States. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word "hunter." In a race against time that takes her from the Jersey Turnpike to the Vegas strip, Stephanie Plum is on the chase of her life.

  • Hillarious and highly addictive.4

Tracy Lawton Book 7: Yet another brilliant Stephanie Plum book. This series has me laughing in the aisles and am really having a hard time putting them down. I find myself sniggering constantly and have taken to reading the funny bits to my husband as he was beginning to think I am losing my marbles. Stephanie and Morelli's relationship is still complicated and she has still managed to resist Ranger (thanks goodness). Grandma Mazura is as hillarious as ever and I am loving all the new characters that are being introduced into each book. I've lost count of how many cars Stephanie has now gone through. I've also noticed that each book describes the death of her grandfather in a different (and funny-ish) way. Have gone straight into book eight and can't wait to see what kind of trouble Stephanie gets herself into next.

Book 8: Stephanie Plum is me! Or do I know her so well that I am becoming her now? Who knows. She finally has her much anticipated night of passion with Ranger and I am starting to see the softer side of him. I don't see any future in their relationship, although I must admit I get a few butterflies reading the way he speaks to her. I see a future with Morelli and just can't get used to the idea of her with anyone else. I was gutted when they broke up! This series still has me laughing at inappropriate times and I find I am developing a almost permanent cramp in my cheeks and neck from laughing so much. If you haven't read this series... do so immediately.

Book 9: A Stephanie Plum novel with all the good points of a normal Plum book. Fantastic characters, a love (or lust) triangle and a serial killer. Yes, you hear me... on top of all the usual adventure, destroyed cars etc. we now have a serial killer added to the mix. A online game with real players, real victims and Stephanie is the final prize. Who would have thought? Stephanie's perfect sister, Valerie, is not only living back home after a divorce but has fallen pregnant to the attorney she works for. After their break-up circumstances suddenly find Stephanie living with Morelli again and this time she has taken all her things as she has given her apartment to her sister, the attorney, new baby and her two daughters to use while they look for their own place. Is Stephanie suddenly feeling broody? Will she stay with Morelli or be tempted by Ranger again? Who knows, I am about to start book ten. I can't put this series down! by Tracy Lawton
