Reviews for Paradise 21
Great Sci-Fi romance. Love it.

Wow, this was a really good book. I loved the romance that happens in it too. I can relate to Aries as well. I would not want to be forced into a loveless marriage so I could "produce" more perfect DNA. Meaning kids. Yeah, not happening, lol. I do not blame her for leaving the New Dawn, which is a colony ship, which is on its way to Paradise 21, another planet far away, but the New Dawn won't get there in her lifetime. Anyway, it has excitement, romance, a hot guy , and I mean Striker.
I did not like her computer chosen mate, he was a jerk, and hated that he got everything he wanted, but he is controlling, so of course he goes after Aries, to drag her back to the ship.
She crash lands on a desert planet, and is lucky to meet up with one human, yes, the hot guy Striker.
I do not want to say too much more, but will say, if you enjoy sci-fi at all, you will love this. It doesn't have a bunch of scientific jargon to stump you at all. It's all easy to understand and follow the story. I had a hard time putting this book down.
A Must read in my opinion.
Watch for my review of the next New Dawn series book, called Tundra 37. I will get to Have 6, the newest book soon, for the book tour.
I really only have one negative to say, and that is the cover, the girl on cover looks Nothing like Aries is supposed to look, first Aries is of the best DNA and is gorgeous, with auburn hair and light eyes, blue I think, forget now, but anyway, girl on cover is not even close to pretty enough, not to mention, the look is nothing like what Aries would wear. Just my opinion. Would have been better to not have any models on it if the right ones are not found.
5 out of 5 stars.
I received this book for the book tour coming up for Haven 6, the latest book in the New Dawn series. by Michelle's Paranormal Vault of BooksScience Fiction Romance
I will say up front that I am not usually a science fiction enthusiast. I enjoy classic science fiction like War of the Worlds or The Time Machine. I chose to review this book because it was a romance, and it was something a little different.
I went into this reading with an open mind. And I really found the writing style interesting, and I was intrigued by the story line. The love story fascinated me, and the science fiction elements were not too "out there."
About halfway through the book, I found myself losing interest. But what kept me going was the love story. I just had to know what happened. And I was not disappointed.
What did disappoint me was the the last 10 or so pages left many unanswered questions (maybe setting up for a sequel??) and tied up loose ends way too fast. I felt like the author threw the ending together and tried to hurry too quickly. Just my opinion.
For true science fiction enthusiasts and those who love a good romance, this story would be a nice, light read. Be warned that there are some adult words (i.e. profanity), but they are not too prevalent. I did feel that they were usually unnecessary. There were thankfully no sex scenes--I always appreciate that!
I was given a free review copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100 percent mine. by Ruth HillGood read
The idea of this book is really great...someone rebelling against people who set her whole life out for her - who to marry and what career path to take regardless of her feelings on the matter. And then someone else who had been kicked off of his own ship in a mutiny and abandoned on a desert planet. And everyone is trying to find a habitable planet because Earth was ruined. I mean...I saw the summary of the book and just thought I have GOT to read that!
I don't really read that much science-fiction - not anything like this anyway so I was a little bit apprehensive to start with.
For me this was one of those reads that is just 'okay' which was a little disappointing. I enjoyed reading it, but it's not memorable at the end of the day - it's not one that will constantly be on my mind like some books are.
It also had one of those love stories that I hate. Two characters meet, spend like three days together, and then fall in love? It frustrates me! Granted they spent the most stressful time together possible on a desert planet almost being hunted and eaten but still!
Anyway, this was still an entertaining read. It was full of action and the story was switched between alternating character's points of views. So there was loads of variation of characters and different personalities which was interesting.
Overall it was a good read and a quick one too! by Maryam H
