Author information

Saviour Pirotta is the bestselling author of over 100 children's books. His work ranges from novelty titles for toddlers to short novels and collections of folk tales. Saviour has been fascinated by traditional tales since he was a child, and before becoming a full-time writer he worked as a storyteller for the Commonwealth Institute in London, visiting schools and libraries around Britain. His titles include The Orchard Book of First Greek Myths and Around the World in 80 Tales. Emma Chichester Clark trained at the Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College. In 1988 she won the Mother Goose Award for the most promising newcomer in children's book illustration and has since collaborated on a number of picture books and story collections, including I Love You, Blue Kangaroo, which was shortlisted for the Greenaway Medal. Her titles for Orchard include The Orchard Book of Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales and The Orchard Book of Aesop's Fables.
