Well, first I should totally tell you that, I don't like history - Victorian books. I mean, I've read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, but really, I didn't like it that much. Maybe because I read book especially for all the feelings a book can bring. And the kissing scenes. That's for sure!! Um, and sexual tension? Yes, totally ;) And as I've seen it, history books, well, they don't have many of kissing scenes inside - with all the my lord and courting and after all marriage. So yeah, I think you can get my point.
When I started this one and saw that it was put in the year of 1823, I was so dissapointed. But I've put this book on Kindle on my phone to see if it works! And it did. I stared reading it when I was left alone in a bar with almost a full cup of coffee (my friend needed to go). So I started. And it wasn't bad at all. After two chapters I went home, because I finished my coffee. When I picked it up later that day, I didn't put it down till I finished it.
Oh my God!! Let me tell you,THIS book was amazing. Really! I feel like such an idiot for waiting, um, 4 months before reading it. Good God, little did I know. How could have I possibly imagine that this book would be so.. um, HOT? Indeed, little.
Callie is so passinate, so good, so not what a normal Victorian girl of that era should be. And that's why I loved her so much. She was so insecure, but in a lot of ways, she did know what she wanted.
And Ralston? Oh oh. He is.. so DAMN HOT! My girl, you really should meet him ;)
So, if you're looking for some romance, this is the book for you! ;)show more
